About This Blog

Although many of us might wish that there was a clear separation between Homeland Security and politics, the reality we face is that homeland security is intricately linked to politics at almost every level: local, state, national, and international – even to the level of personal and family preparedness.

The purpose of this blog is to highlight and point out political happenings to be aware of in regards to homeland security – things that can impact homeland security laws, policy, planning, and funding.

This blog is for anyone with an interest in homeland security, but it is especially dedicated to the emergency responders and other homeland security professionals who dedicate themselves to keeping all of us safe and helping us to respond to and rebound from disasters, natural and man-made; I hope that it helps keep you aware of the political changes that are going to affect you, so you can prepare better and help you keep doing your job well, regardless of the political climate.

Comments are certainly welcome, and if you have information or a tip that you’d like to share, please let me know!
